The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Protected Areas of Ukraine: Current Status and Ways to Ensure Their Effective Functioning” is scheduled to take place online on 29–30 October 2026.

Organisers:

• M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
• “Male Polissia” National Nature Park;
• Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University;
• Ivan Ohienko Kamianets-Podilskyi National University.

The conference will provide a platform for presenting research findings, sharing experience, and discussing current issues related to the functioning and development of Ukraine’s protected areas network.

The organisers invite scientists, staff of environmental protection institutions, higher education institutions, researchers, and all interested colleagues to participate.

Main conference topics:

• specific features of the functioning, challenges, and development prospects of Ukraine’s protected areas network;
• organisation of scientific research within protected areas;
• experience in implementing conservation measures, recommendations, and management plans;
• environmental education, tourism, and recreational activities within protected areas;
• theoretical and practical approaches to the mobilisation and conservation of plant resources; challenges related to plant invasions and preventing their negative impacts.
