Description

On 16 June 2026 at 11:00 AM (Kyiv time), the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, in cooperation with StrikePlagiarism, invites you to attend the webinar "Artificial Intelligence Is Already in the Classroom: Academic Integrity, Quality Control, and New Educational Practices."

Speaker: Daria Ivanova (StrikePlagiarism)

Registration: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/j5IlJ2iIQ2-IyY184E2NyA

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence is significantly transforming the way academic and educational texts are created. Alongside new opportunities, it also raises important questions regarding the assessment of academic work, verification of authorship and originality, identification of academic misconduct, and the promotion of responsible AI use in education and research.

These issues have become particularly relevant following the enactment of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity,” which came into force on 1 February 2026. The law establishes a comprehensive framework for ensuring academic integrity, defines key principles and requirements for participants in educational and research activities, and strengthens accountability for violations.

During the webinar, participants will learn:

  • how approaches to evaluating academic texts have evolved in the era of artificial intelligence;
  • what opportunities are offered by the modern Similarity Report of StrikePlagiarism.com;
  • how to analyze texts created or modified using AI-powered tools;
  • how to identify hidden alterations and manipulations in academic documents;
  • which recent legislative changes in the field of academic integrity should be considered by higher education institutions and research organizations;
  • how to ensure transparent and objective assessment of student work;
  • which international practices for the responsible use of artificial intelligence are being implemented by universities worldwide.

Special attention will be given to the use of artificial intelligence in research and education, the opportunities and risks associated with generative AI models, and the development of institutional policies governing the use of AI in teaching, learning, and research activities.

We invite researchers, educators, librarians, university administrators, doctoral and postgraduate students, and all those interested in academic integrity and innovative digital tools in education and science to join the webinar.
