Description

The Polish Academy of Sciences, together with the Cooperation Fund Foundation and the CEE Startup Bridge Foundation, has announced a call for applications for participation in the Polish-Ukrainian Science & Technology Forum, which will take place in Warsaw, Poland, on 7–11 September 2026. Applications may be submitted until 13 July 2026.

The Forum is intended to serve as a platform for strengthening Polish-Ukrainian scientific cooperation, exchanging expertise, and initiating joint research and innovation projects in priority STEM fields, particularly in energy, healthcare, digital infrastructure, and other deep-tech areas.

The programme combines visits to leading Polish research institutions and laboratories with intensive training and hands-on workshops. Participants will gain insights into the Polish research and innovation ecosystem, present their own research projects, and take part in training sessions on research commercialization and technology transfer, preparation of grant proposals for European Union programmes, academia-business collaboration, the use of artificial intelligence in research, and science communication. The programme also includes the formation of Polish-Ukrainian research teams and a final networking conference.

The call is open to:

  • Leaders of Ukrainian research groups;
    • Researchers and project managers from higher education institutions, research organizations, and R&D departments;
    • Founders and heads of R&D units in high-tech companies.

The programme is primarily aimed at teams developing technological solutions in strategically important sectors, as well as projects at the pre-seed and seed stages. Up to 24 participants from Ukraine and Poland are expected to be selected.

For selected Ukrainian participants, the organizers will provide:

  • Accommodation during the Forum;
    • Meals throughout the official programme;
    • Participation in all training sessions, study visits, and networking events;
    • Reimbursement of travel expenses (up to UAH 9,000 for travel to and from Poland), as well as local transportation within Poland.
