The EU-funded POLARIN (Polar Research Infrastructure Network) project has opened its Transnational Access Call 2026, inviting members of the scientific community to submit research proposals.

The call offers researchers the opportunity to access 31 Research Infrastructures (RIs) located in both polar regions — the Arctic and Antarctica. The access programme aims to support high-quality research addressing key scientific priorities in the polar regions.

Webinar for Applicants

A dedicated Webinar for Applicants will take place on September 14, 2026, from 13:00 to 15:00 CEST.

The webinar will provide detailed information about the Transnational Access (TA) / Remote Access (RA) Call, the application process, eligibility requirements, and access opportunities. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the call and the TA and RA programmes in general.

The Transnational Access Call 2026 provides researchers with the opportunity to access a range of research infrastructures and resources made available to the international scientific community through POLARIN.

Proposals will be evaluated according to the call's established criteria, including scientific quality and the relevance of the proposed research to POLARIN's research priorities.
